Fashion

Last night the Met held its annual Costume Institute Gala which kicks off a special exhibition at the museum entitled “Model as Muse”. This is perhaps the biggest night for fashion, aside from the Oscars. Check out my picks for best dressed:

Canada's own Shalom Harlow at the Met 2009 Costume Institue Gala

Love it or hate it, Canada's own Shalom Harlow is the ONLY one that could pull this off and still look like the epitome of elegance. Shalom wears Bob Mackie and Olivier Theyskens for Nina Ricci.

Tyra Banks shows everyone how it's done in Badgley Mischka.

And the Worst…

Worst dressed goes to the host of the evening, Anna Wintour, and her accomplice, André Leon Talley:

André Leon Talley in a cape by Isable Toledo at the Met 2009 Costume Institue Gala

André Leon Talley, looking sad — and who wouldn't, in a cape by Isabel Toledo, gold blingy chains and an Obama pin. (Note: It's not the cape's fault; not trying to bash Toledo here) ;)

Shalom is killing it in that Mackie/Ricci ensemble from The New World Order. Un-fuckin-real.
