Tuna and Avocado Tartare

Tuna TartareEric and I had no dinner plans and decided to stop by the grocery store on our way home from work. We hoped the sight of some fresh delicious ingredients would inspire dinner, and that it did.

We found an irresistible piece of yellow fin tuna, at a good price, and decided to plan our meal around that. Ten minutes later we were still wandering around the produce department thinking of how to cook this fish. That’s when Eric decided we weren’t. He reached for an avocado and said, “It’s tuna tartare tonight, now lets pick up some wine!”

It was a great idea — the rest of the ingredients were already in our cupboards, and our herb garden.
